User Research User Personas Product Design UX/UI Design Design System Web Design
In collaboration with AQUA, a startup specializing in web3 gaming assets, our initial focus was on conducting comprehensive user persona research to precisely target their diverse user base. With a clear understanding of these personas, we proceeded to implement essential features and pages for their marketplace, ensuring it catered seamlessly to gamers interested in both the intrinsic and financial values of their virtual assets.
As the primary designer dedicated to the project, I provided ongoing support to AQUA through multiple product launches, refining critical aspects such as the marketplace with advanced filtering, an adaptive product detail page with a flexible layout catering to different gaming assets, and a streamlined onboarding process for connecting a digital wallet.
By scraping all listings on the blockchain to secure and guarantee the cheapest price on the AQUA platform, one notable challenge lay in devising a solution to accommodate listings in various currencies while enabling transactions from a range of different currency holdings in the wallet. We provided visual guidance when incrementing to buy multiple cards and showed buyers the deal they made on purchase relative to the floor price to guide their decision-making and reinforce the platform's promise. Additionally, we introduced a batch trade option to facilitate large-scale transactions, serving user types such as whales, collectors, and gamers. Furthermore, we developed UI templates for their marketing site, empowering AQUA to effectively communicate their value proposition and quickly adapt to market dynamics.
Leveraging Chakra UI components, we established a robust design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform's interface, setting them up to roll out more games for the marketplace. The collaborative effort culminated in AQUA's expansion and the subsequent hiring of additional design talent.
